You know that once people know about you, they’ll want to work with you but first, you have to get yourself out there! So today I have a few ideas to make sure your coaching business doesn’t fly under the radar.
Here are ways to promote your coaching business online.
1. Optimize your website for search engines.
If you really want to build an online business and start bringing in new clients and leads through your website, then you’ll want to start thinking seriously about SEO (Search Engine Optimization).
The cool part about having an online coaching business is that you can work with clients from all over the world, so a well constructed and optimized website will ensure that people doing internet searches for coaching services are able to find you. There’s a lot to know about SEO and so while utilizing plugins like Yoast can be incredibly beneficial, you may want to consider looking into SEO support so you can spend more time on the things that matter…like coaching!
There are huge amounts of SEO companies out there so it’s a good idea to do your research before hiring someone. I’m no SEO Expert, which is why following Expert Brad’s Advice on Hiring an SEO Professional should help you to narrow down your search to ensure that you are working with a reputable and seasoned expert in the field. Once you’ve effectively drawn clients to your website, having your page laid out in a way that allows for easy navigation is key to keeping your clients engaged in your content, and then converting to your email list. Simplicity is key here.
2. Create and publish video content.
YouTube is big business friends, and a lot of people have made their fortunes by documenting their thoughts on specific interest areas! However, there is also a huge market for instructional and motivational videos.
You can use YouTube to document the rise of your business, talk about your personal life, offer motivation and advice, and allow your clients to get to know you a little better by injecting some of your personality into your videos. You can also gain exposure by collaborating with other people who share your interests which allows you to gain subscribers at a faster rate. The more subscribers you have, the greater reach you have to talk about your coaching business and the other services you have to offer.
Keep it real and genuine with your audience and you’ll build a loyal following ready to invest in your programs and products.
3. Be creative with social media.
Social Media can be an incredibly effective tool for reaching the masses. One of my favorite methods for building an engaged audience and promoting my services is through Facebook. You can create a Facebook group where you host live webinars, share inspiring posts and host community events.
Collaborating with other online coaches and creators is also a solid way to quickly spread your message. Whether you’re hosting a giveaway where your audience has the opportunity to win something by sharing your post or handing you their email in exchange for a free item, being creative with social media can be highly beneficial. Plus, it’s a little bit of easy publicity!
4. Starting your own podcast (or being interviewed on one!)
Podcasts are not a new phenomenon, but they are rapidly growing in popularity. More and more of your potential clients are listening to podcasts while doing mundane everyday tasks, so this is a prime opportunity for you to place yourself strategically in their path.
Similar to creating video content for YouTube, you can create audio content for your podcasts by collaborating with other coaches or online personalities and talking about relevant issues. Spend some time researching the needs of your ideal clients and then start brainstorming ideas! You could also consider reaching out to podcast producers and hosts that you love with a great pitch to be featured on their podcast.
Starting a business in the online world is no small task. It can feel really daunting getting your business off the ground, but stay committed because once you begin to gain traction your growth will be exponential!
